Taiko Art Show

Formed 50 years ago in 1968, by Grandmaster Seiichi Tanaka, San Francisco Taiko Dojo is proud to be a part of history as the first taiko group created outside of Japan.

We're celebrating the 50th anniversary in style with an art show, bringing together visual art, culture, and music to raise money for SFTD's International Taiko Festival this November!

Launching Point: Portraits of the Manilatown Manongs and Other Works

"Launching Point" is an exhibition of photographs and paintings by Tony Remington representing work created from 1977 to 2018 in both San Francisco and the Philippines, with a special emphasis on portraits of San Francisco's historic Manilatown residents.
